We had a wonderful night at Mix Bar tonight. We were drinking amazing ‘Lily Jasmine tea’ which is white tea hand-rolled into a large ball encasing delicate jasmine blossoms (buddah Balls) which opens up in the clear glass teapot. We also had cocktails. I’ve got a bit of a sore throat so they kindly made me a soothing Whisky, honey and lemon cocktail
. Our knitting caused quite a stir (pardon the cocktail pun) amongst the bar staff and fellow cocktail drinkers. We want to say a big thank you to Mix for making us feel so welcome. We will be back

Hi there,
Is this a regular event and where exactly is the mix bar?
Is it far from Reading town centre?
Cheers…
hello Felix, we meet every weds in town, normally at the jelly workshop which is in the Town Hall near the train station. There is a bar on site and normally live music. Every so often we go out to exhibitions, comedy shows, films, whatever we fancy really – last week we had cocktails at Malmaison – good for conversation but a bit sedate for us whereas the Mix Bar had it going on!!
You all look so cool! Think I’d have preferred the cocktail to the tea… though the Lily one sounded very fancy.
This looks a lot of fun. Do many guys go to your club?
Hi, do you meet at weekends, or just on Wednesdays? I’ve just moved to the area!
I was sorry to leave so early. My mum was just hungry and tired when I picked her up otherwise she might’ve like a fancy tea with us. We’re going to knit a blanket for John Lewis’ collection for RBH special care blankets!
This looks a lot of fun. I’m a single guy. Do you have any guys in your group?
hello dark horse
There were two guys knitting with us this week, 3 the week before – it fluctuates – you could just come along and see?? This week we are meeting in jelly workshop which is next to the 3b’s bar at The Old Town hall in Reading from 8pm, there is beer, live music etc, maybe some other men?
hi Daisy
it is mainly weds, tho we do meet for other things liek craft fairs, trips out etc but weds is a meet day – you can come as little or often as you want and just read the blog for where – it is on the right hand side in the *what we are doing section*
hello Mr anonymous
same as the info for dark horse really, it varies from week to week
That tea sounds good.
I hope you all put the knitting down before making shapes on the dancefloor
